Ik ben de artistiek directeur van 2daPoint Massive Movement. Ik noem het Massive Movement omdat we met name nu een grote beweging worden, of in ieder geval willen worden. Ik begon met breakdansen in 1981 en ben sindsdien altijd actief geweest in de dans en de wereld van de uitvoerende kunsten. Ik ben autodidact en naast danser ben ik ook rapper en volgens India Arie een indrukwekkend beatboxer. Ik ben geboren in Guyana, Zuid- Amerika waar ik mijn eerste breakdans battles uitvoerde met mijn crew, The Whizz Kids. Na mijn aankomst in Europa ben ik meer muziek gaan doen en in een korte periode won ik tientallen muziekwedstrijden, inclusief de prestigieuze ‘Grote Prijs van Nederland’. Buiten dans werk ik nog steeds regelmatig met jazzmuzikanten zoals Rinus Groeneveld, Hans en Candy Dulfer, Saskia Laroo, Michael Varekamp en MichieL Borstlap. Ik werk regelmatig als host voor verschillende dans- en muziekgerelateerde festivals en manifestaties binnen en buiten Europa.

Ik hou van het leven en ook van de mens. Ik vind dat dans één van de natuurlijkste dingen is naast ademhalen. Mijn laatste choreografie "Niets Naar Iets", in samenwerking met de dansers Lana, Suet Wan en Astrid gaat over de Oerknal Theorie en ik ben van plan om meer te gaan abstraheren met hiphop en andere dansstijlen. Ik vind diversiteit intrigerend dus mix ik graag dingen die niet bij elkaar horen terwijl ik probeer de mix zo natuurlijk mogelijk te laten lijken, alsof het zo hoort. Als we om ons heen kijken, merken we dat alles niet zo geordend is als we graag willen denken. Hoe vaak is mijn post niet bij de buren terechtgekomen?

I am the artistic director of 2daPoint Massive Movement. I call 2daPoint a massive movement because especially now we are making tremendous moves, or at least we aspire to. I began break-dancing in 1981 and since then I have always been directly involved in the arts. I am a self taught artist and besides dancing I am also a rapper and according to India Arie, an impressive beatboxer. I was born in Guyana, South America, where I did my first break dance battles with my crew The Whizz Kids. After my arrival in Europe I focused more on music and very soon won scores of musical prizes including the prestigious Big Muzic Prize Of Holland. Outside of my dance director responsibilities I still make the time to tour with jazz musicians like Rinus Greenfield, Hans and Candy Dulfer, Saskia Laroo, Michael Varekamp en Michiel Borstlap. I work regularly as a host for several music and dance related festivals in and out of Europe.

I love live and people. I still maintain that dance is one of the most natural things next to breathing. My last choreography is titled Nothing To Something and is a movement interpretation of the Big Bang Theory and I plan to expand my abstraction of hiphop with other dance forms. I am intrigued by diversity hence my natural compulsion to mix things that don’t necessarily compliment each other whilst trying to make this mix seem natural. If we look around us we will realize that everything isn’t as orderly as we would want to think. How many times did I have my mail sent to the neaighbour?
